Rosalia
Rosalia Vila (aka Rosalia) is a Spanish pop and flamenco singer. She has been a part of the fringes of traditional and popular music since her teenage years, she has also delved into different music genres like Hip-Hop Soul and Trap. Her voice has been called by no less of talented than Flamenco guitar player Pepe Habichuela as sweet and sharp, but with a bite like older versions. El Mal Querer was her significant commercial breakthrough and critical success in 2018. The single Los Angeles garnered her attention and a Latin Grammy Nomination for Best New Artist, it topped the Billboard charts of Latin Pop Albums and she won the Grammy. In 2021, her track La Fama with The Weeknd came out. Motomami was her 3rd studio album. The singer collaborated with a variety of producers and artists like Cory Henry. The release came on March 20, 2022 after performances of the track Chicken Teriyaki on Saturday Night Live. Rosalia performed solo on the show for the very first time ever on the program. The Rosalia of Motomami, who took home the Latin Album of the Year and three Latin Grammy Awards in total for Motomami was also the first woman to do so.
