Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a musical family. As a child, she was inspired by the classical music of her parents, boleros as well as the more traditional romantic, ranchero and romance ballads. Ana is an avid fan of Tangos. Also, she loves operas, and every form of dramatic performance. When she was a child, her mother would sing with her at the age of 12, she took up more rigorous training in vocals at age 16, under the direction of the renowned Mexican Tenor FlavioBecerra. She continued her musical studies at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and later in the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. While a young student and professional, she performed with various chamber groups as well as opera choruses throughout Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. After 2000, she emigrated to America. United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then, in 2007, she returned to her new home in Southern California. She currently is a part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and is a frequent solo performer with traditional Latin American music at private performances. She is involved with many local projects in both teaching and performer, because of her enthusiasm for art and music. Ana has been a member of Community Chorus of Redlands (as as Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana finds it a privilege to be able to share with others her passion for traditional Latin American music. She hopes to encourage younger generations to continue the tradition.
