Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson is the daughter of British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby (born in Paris) as well as Chris Watson (born in Paris). As a child she was enrolled in at the Dragon School in Oxfordshire. David Heyman, the producer of Harry Potter Harry Potter's Sorcerer's Stone and Ron Weasley told Emma after eight auditions that she had been selected for the parts. The cast included Daniel Radcliffe Rupert Grint and Rupert Grint. The film's release Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) was Emma's debut on the screen in cinema. The film is 2001's top production, and it broke records at the opening and first weekend. The film was praised by critics and its performances by the three young stars. The Daily Telegraph praised Emma for her outstanding performance. Emma's performance received nominations and was awarded five awards in the film.
